Copper strips and foils
Copper and alloys foils are supplied to a wide range of industrial, daily living, consumer electronics, space exploration, and other fields.
ED Copper Foils
A wide selection of thicknesses is available, from a minimum thickness of 6 µm up to 35 µm. It features the lowest profile level available for roughened ED copper foils.
Ultra Thin Foils
An extensive selection of carrier foils, peel strengths, and ultra-thin copper foils can be combined to achieve unprecedented product compositions.
RA copper foils
This ultra low roughness, high bending, rolled copper foil intended for low-dielectric polyimide films can achieve previously unavailable levels of high-speed transmission, folding, and transparency characteristics.
How Foils Are Produced
Elecrtodeposited Copper Foils
1. Electrolysis (Foil Formation)
Copper foil is formed on a cathode surface by electroplating.
2. Surface Treatment
Both sides of foil are treated to improve adhesion between foil and a substrate, heat resistance, oxidization resistance, etc.
(Note: Details of treatment vary depending on the product type.)
3. Slitting, Cutting and Inspection
Foil is formed into sheets and rolls.
